A thing of beauty...

Walking home at dusk, the color of the sky was a beautiful shade of deep blue. The Alexander Nevski cathedral looked even more majestic than usual, all lit up against the darkness of the night.

All Star

I was browsing through the internet yesterday and discovered that you can design your own Converse sneaker on www.converse.com. How much fun is that! You can decide everything from the color of the fabric, to the stitching and laces, and come up with something truly unique. The bad news is that it's only available in the USA, and the choice of pattern is a bit limited... But you can still play around with it and come up with some interesting designs...Here are some of my creations ;)

Mika Ninagawa

I absolutely love the work of japanese photographer Mika Ninagawa. Her photographs are so lively, the colors are bright and bold. It's just perfection! Here are some of my favorites! More on her website http://www.ninamika.com

And so it begins...

For longer than I would like to remember, I was sitting at my desk at a boring job that reminded me of the movie 'Office Space'. I would just dream about the day where I would say 'sayonara' to my employers and pursue something more creative, more meaningful to me. Well that day has come! I packed up my suitcase (or more like suitcaseS, I'm not a light packer) and came to Europe to do a Masters degree. So here I am :)  I'm starting this blog to share not only my travel experiences, but also any fun bits of information I come across. Hope you enjoy reading me!
